Alumni Profile – Eric Yung (BBA ‘07, BEd ‘09)
GeneralAlumniEric Yung graduated from Nipissing University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2007 and a Bachelor of Education in 2009. Initially recruited by Nipissing to play soccer, Yung ended up becoming a two-sport athlete, playing on both the Lakers soccer and volleyball teams. -

Alumni Profile – Laurel Muldoon (BA '15, MESc 19)

Still, to her, it feels like yesterday, thanks to her continued involvement with the University and the profound impact it has had on her life. -

GeneralResearchDr. Amir Erfani, Professor of Sociology at Nipissing University, published his research on reasons for high prevalence of contraceptive withdrawal (coitus interruptus or pulling out) in esteemed Scientific Reports journal. -
Nipissing researchers receive national funding to examine supports for Indigenous survivors of sexual assault
GeneralResearchNipissing University researchers Dr. Nancy Stevens, Assistant-Professor of Indigenous Studies, and Dr. Rosemary Nagy, Professor of Gender Equality and Social Justice, have been awarded a Partnership Engage Grant valued at $24,829 from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) to further their research into available supports for Indigenous survivors of sexual assault. -

Community invited to map the impact of connections at Sip and Sonder event
GeneralResearchNipissing University, in partnership with Brunel University London, the RTOERO Foundation and Rare Dementia Support (RDS) Canada, invites community members to explore the impact of social connections at Sip and Sonder: Connections with Self, Family, Community and the Natural Environment anytime on Wednesday, November 1 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday, November 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the North Bay Museum.
