Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) is the law that sets out a process for developing, implementing, and enforcing accessibility standards. Government, businesses, non-profits, and public sector organizations must follow the standards. Accessibility laws and standards help to reduce and remove barriers and make Ontario more inclusive for everyone.

All employees and volunteers working in Ontario, whether they are paid or unpaid, full-time, part-time or contract positions are required to complete this training.

This training must be completed as soon as possible after an employee or volunteer joins Nipissing University.

These training resources are used to assist organizations in meeting the training requirements under section 7 and section 80.49 of the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation 191/11.
