Centre for Teaching and Learning at Nipissing University

The Centre for Teaching and Learning is committed to excellence, leadership, and transformation in curricular planning, teaching and learning practice, and scholarship. We collaborate with faculty, staff and students across the university, focusing on transformational teaching and learning practice by providing professional development, consulting services, educational technology support, extended learning opportunities and administration, and supporting educational leadership.

The Teaching Hub is the location for professional development, collaboration and innovative teaching practices.

To request use of any space within the Teaching Hub, please complete the Room/Space Booking Form and ensure you fill out the form completely if you need any help with technology or setup.

  • Activities hosted within the Teaching Hub need to be aligned with Teaching & Learning Activities 
  • Regular meetings should not be booked within the Hub

    Dear Faculty,

    Some of you may be, or soon will be, engaged in cyclical program reviews and/or new program proposals. Program mapping is a key component of both.

    Program mapping provides programs and faculty with the ability to:

    focus on student learning and ensure that students, who have register in a program, will receive the learning that enables proficiency in the program-level learning outcomes
    perform continuous improvement of programs while ensuring that the outcomes of the program, university and province are considered strategically and intentionally
    align with the quality assurance expectations of the province and university
