Scholar Practitioner Program Graduates 38 Future Nurses

On Friday, November 8, Nipissing University welcomed 38 graduates to its alumni ranks during the Scholar Practitioner Program convocation ceremony held in Toronto at the Michener Institute of Education at the University Health Network (UHN). The Scholar Practitioner Program is an innovative second degree nursing program for university graduates offered in partnership with the Michener Institute of Education at UHN, SickKids Hospital, Toronto Public Health and the University Health Network. This learner-centred program prepares students to become clinically competent nurses and theoretically sound thinkers or “scholar practitioners” capable of being responsive to changes in contemporary health care.
