A pair of researchers and a graduate student at Nipissing University have earned $137,500 in grants from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Council of Canada (NSERC) for work that contributes to a better understanding of our forests, provides tools for optimizing nanotechnology applications, and studies nitrogen application for field crops.

Each honorary degree recipient was asked: What is your message to graduates?  What are some of your accomplishments that make you proud? And, what does this honorary degree from Nipissing University mean to you? Today, we are pleased to present Dr. Dawn Lavell-Harvard.

Staff members at Nipissing take pride is going the extra mile when helping students; it’s an approach that breathes truth into the One Student at a Time slogan. Leah Symington, Coordinator in the Fine and Performing Arts Department, is upping the ante.

Last Friday during a special pinning ceremony for nursing graduates, where they were officially welcomed to the profession of Nursing by their professors and presented with a ceremonial pin.
