Ancillary Fee FAQs & Descriptions
Per the Ontario Government’s Tuition Fee Framework and Ancillary Fee Guidelines for Publicly Assisted Universities, the Government has now created a distinction between essential and non-essential fees and services and the related ancillary fees for those services.
Fees that the Government has defined as essential are now mandatory for all students enrolled at Nipissing, regardless of program/campus.
Fees that the Government has now defined as non-essential, students are able to opt out of. -

Student Access Guarantee
Nipissing University believes that all qualified students should have access to postsecondary education. To demonstrate this, we have committed to partnering with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities in the Student Access Guarantee. -
Important Course Drop Deadline Dates
Students must drop courses within the posted drop schedule time frame to receive credit on their student account equal to the percentage of tuition indicated below. If courses are dropped past the first deadline Refunds/Credits are applied on TUITION AMOUNTS ONLY.
Ancillary fees, Bus Pass, and deposits are non-refundable. -
