Giving Tuesday at NU
Join the Giving Tuesday movement.
Support our student-athletes.
This Giving Tuesday, join us in building a strong foundation for our student-athletes by purchasing an engraved brick that will pave the entrance to our new turf field. Each brick purchased will directly support our student-athletes by offsetting the cost of training, travel, equipment and support services so they can they can focus on achieving their athletic and academic potential.
Visit nipissingu.ca/givingtuesday to buy a brick today.
What is GivingTuesday?
GivingTuesday is a global movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Black Friday. The “Opening day of the giving season,” it’s a time when charities, companies and individuals join together and rally for favourite causes. In the same way that retailers take part in Black Friday, the giving community comes together for GivingTuesday.
This year, Giving Tuesday is on December 3 and at Nipissing University we are encouraging you to support our student-athletes through our Buy-A-Brick program.
What is the Buy-a-Brick program?
Championed by our Chancellor, Dr. Paul Cook, the Buy-A-Brick program gives students, parents, staff, faculty, alumni and community members the opportunity to support Lakers Athletics by purchasing an engraved brick that will pave the entrance to our new turf field.
For only $100, you can leave a lasting legacy and permanent mark on Lakers athletics history. Bricks can be engraved with the name of an individual, team, group or business. It is also a great way to honour or remember someone special. To learn more, visit nipissingu.ca/givingtuesday

Please use the hashtags #NUGives, #unselfie, and #GivingTuesdayCA and be sure to tag @NipissingU. Download an unselfie template here to use for your post.
