2016 Convocation has arrived
It’s a week of celebration, the beginning of a new chapter in life for graduates and a time to look back fondly on friends made, goals achieved lessons learned and amazing experiences enjoyed both in and out of the classroom.
Yesterday in Brantford, 174 graduates received their degrees from Nipissing University, including one doctoral student, 11 master of education students, and 162 bachelor of education students. The university also presented an honorary degree to Dr. Debra Lynne Brown, the Brantford-born original choreographer for the world renowned Cirque du Soleil.
This week in North Bay, Nipissing will present degrees to 864 students, including three doctoral graduates, 67 master-level graduates, 27 bachelor of education graduates, three Advanced degree in Education graduates, and 764 bachelor-level graduates. Dr. Dawn Memee Lavell-Havard and Mr. Jerome Berthelette will receive honorary degrees.
There will be three convocation ceremonies in North Bay this year:
- Thursday, June 9 at 9:30 a.m.
- Thursday, June 9, 2 p.m.
- Friday, June 10, 9:30 a.m.
