With the weather cold enough to freeze a cowbell, the 2015 OUA Nordic Skiing Championships kicked off on Friday night in North Bay. While the weather could have been warmer, the action was certainly hot, and the Lakers perfectly mixed being gracious hosts with being tough competitors.

For the second year in a row, North Bayites are encouraged to break out their cowbells and celebrate winter while watching incredible student-athletes compete in the OUA Nordic Championships. Nipissing University is proud to host the 2015 Northgate Tour De Nipissing OUA Nordic Championships February 13-15 at locations across the city.

Dr. Lanyan Chen, associate professor in the School of Human and Social Development - Social Welfare and Social Development recently earned a Research Achievement Award from Nipissing University. Here is a short profile on Dr. Chen and her work.
