Nipissing University hosts Fall Open House this weekend
NORTH BAY, ON – Nipissing University invites future students and their supporters to its annual Fall Open House on Saturday, November 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event provides an immersive opportunity to experience the University's academic programs, facilities, and vibrant campus life firsthand.
Attendees can meet faculty, attend information sessions on programs and admissions, and learn about student services such as residence, the office of Indigenous Initiatives, and financial aid. Guided campus tours will showcase Nipissing’s picturesque, forested location, state-of-the-art labs, and student-centred amenities.
“This time of year can be a pivotal moment for students, as they explore their future paths,” said Dr. Kevin Wamsley, President and Vice-Chancellor. “We pride ourselves on providing a supportive learning environment and a strong sense of community. Open House is the perfect opportunity to showcase what sets us apart and what it means to be a Laker.”
Sarah Marinelli, Associate Registrar, Recruitment, says Open House is designed to provide students with a comprehensive view of what life at Nipissing is really like. “We encourage everyone to come and ask questions, connect with professors, and see firsthand how we support our students in their academic journey.”
Participants will also have the chance to engage with current students and alumni, gaining authentic insights into the Nipissing experience. The day will include interactive drop-in presentations, engaging activities, and one-on-one conversations to help prospective students envision themselves as part of the vibrant Nipissing community, while equipping them with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their futures.
