Dr. Peachey published in prestigious nursing journal
Assistant Professor and proud Nipissing University PhD graduate, Dr. Laurie Peachey, has had the manuscript from her PhD thesis, Shaping clinical imagination as new graduate nurses in maternal-child simulation, accepted in the Nurse Education Today international journal.
In her doctoral dissertation in the PhD of Educational Sustainability program at Nipissing University, Dr. Peachey examined the lived experience of new graduate nurses using maternal-child simulation in their practice. Her research interests are rooted in practice education and include the use of maternal-child simulation, the development of practical wisdom and imaginative thinking in nursing, and the transition of new graduates entering perinatal nursing.
