Ten Thousand Villages sale on now
Take care of your holiday shopping and raise funds for a great cause without even leaving campus at the annual Ten Thousand Villages sale, taking place this week from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the foyer outside the bookstore.
Nipissing University's local World University Services of Canada (WUSC) committee, in coordination with the International Initiatives office, hosts this annual sale. Proceeds support Nipissing’s Student Refugee Program.
At this sale you can purchase everything from chocolate, coffee, and jewelry, to dishes, ornaments, kids books and toys, scarves, baskets, and more.
Ten Thousand Villages, is the oldest and largest Fair Trade organization in North America selling artisan-crafted personal accessories, home decor and gift items from around the globe. Its purpose is to create opportunities for producers who have been economically disadvantaged or marginalized by the conventional trading system.
