Research and Teaching award winners announced
Convocation is a time of celebration. For graduates and their families to celebrate the completion of a degree and beginning of a new chapter in their lives. It’s also a perfect time to celebrate the wonderful faculty at Nipissing. The university is pleased to announce the winners of the 2018 research and teaching awards.
Dr. Steven Arnocky, associate professor of psychology, is the 2018 recipient of the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Research. He will receive the award at the 9:30 a.m. convocation ceremony on June 8.
The Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Research was established to recognize and celebrate the value of research conducted by Nipissing University full-time faculty and those faculty members whose research makes a significant impact on the discipline or field of research. Dr. Benjamin Kelly, assistant professor of sociology, is a 2018 recipient of the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching. He will receive the award at the 9:30 a.m. convocation ceremony on June 8.
Dr. Glen Sharpe, associate professor in the Schulich School of Education, is a 2018 recipient of the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching. He will receive the award at the 2:00 p.m. convocation ceremony on June 8.

Laura Rossi, laboratory instructor in biology/chemistry,is the 2018 recipient of the Nipissing University Teaching Award for CASBU Members. She will receive the award at the 9:30 a.m. convocation ceremony on June 8.
