Nipissing recognized for student satisfaction, student services in national rankings
Nipissing University was once again recognized for its high level of student satisfaction and leadership in the area of student services in the annual Maclean’s University Rankings. Nipissing ranked No. 1 in Canada for Student Services in the primarily undergraduate category. For Student Satisfaction, Nipissing was the top-ranked Ontario university and No. 2 nationally in the undergraduate category.
Contributing to Nipissing’s success in the Student Satisfaction category was the fact that it ranked No.1 in five out of 10 areas including Administrative Staff, Mental Health Services, Residence Living, Promoting Indigenous Visibility and Steps to Prevent Sexual Assault.
“At Nipissing we pride ourselves on providing a student-centred, personalized education in a welcoming environment so we are pleased to see this reflected in our student satisfaction results,” said President and Vice-Chancellor Mike DeGagne. “Our leadership in the Student Services category is also satisfying as it underscores our commitment to supporting students in all aspects of their personal and professional development.”
The primarily undergraduate category is defined by Maclean’s as universities that “are largely focused on undergraduate education, with relatively few graduate programs and graduate students.” Nipissing is one of 19 universities in this category.
