New roofs on the way

Nipissing is getting a new roof for both the F-wing and H-wing, with work slated to begin on Monday, March 19.

Contractors Designed Roofing will begin the F-wing roof replacement, expected to take roughly three weeks, on Monday.  Following completion, they will move to the H-wing roof, expected to take about 4-5 weeks.

To accommodate the work on F-wing, Designed Roofing will erect security fencing by the Nipissing’s front entrance.  This will allow them to safely remove and dispose of existing roofing and other related material.   Nipissing’s front entrance will remain open and accessible throughout the project.

Students, staff, and faculty should expect some noise and increased foot traffic on the F-wing third floor. Designed Roofing will endeavour to keep interruptions to a minimum.

Additional roofing improvements are planned for this summer and more details will be provided as soon as possible.
