Opportunity for local businesses to tap into marketing knowledge
Any local businesses with a need for marketing have a fantastic opportunity to work with some excellent young consultants in the form of business students at Nipissing University.
Students in the fourth-year Applied Marketing Management course are offering their marketing consultancy acumen to local businesses as part of an assignment.
“We’ve had a lot of success, and helped a lot of local businesses over the past decade with this assignment,” said Dr. Denyse Lafrance-Horning, assistant professor in the school of business. “The goal is to provide students with an opportunity to apply the marketing knowledge and theory that they’ve developed in the classroom to practical, real-world business situations while providing sound strategic marketing recommendations to local business partners.”
The 12-week assignment culminates in a student presentation featuring recommendations to meet business’ marketing needs.
Interested businesses with a marketing need and interest in working with students can contact Dr. Denyse Lafrance-Horning at denyseh@nipissingu.ca by December 20, 2017.
