History student helps lay WWII veteran, military brother, to rest
My NipissingHistory DepartmentOn September 14, 1944, Kenneth Donald Duncanson was killed during intense fighting in Belgium during WWII. The Algonquin Regiment, to which he belonged was forced to retreat and in the chaos, Duncanson’s body was left in the Belgian field where he fell. Duncanson’s body remained lost until November 2014, when a hobbyist discovered his remains using a metal detector. -

Dave Marshall Leadership AwardMy NipissingToday, we are pleased to profile Kerry Lynn Peltier, a Bachelor of Arts, Social Welfare and Social Development student and Dave Marshall Leadership Award winner in the community category. Peltier has been a leader and role model for her peers ever since she began in the Aboriginal Advantage Program in 2011.
