New student portal provides easier access

Nipissing University has launched a new Internet portal to help students access key information.

The new portal represents an update to the one it replaces, acting as a single place for students to access relevant and timely information such as class cancellations, campus notifications and Nipissing University news. The new version also works better with mobile technology, such as phones and tablets.

The portal also helps students access the many services available to them at Nipissing by simplifying the search process.  It provides access via a single easy to remember URL, https://my.nipissingu.ca, which then allows students to reach additional online resources and services with a single click and in most cases without needing to remember additional usernames and passwords.  The university will also be better able to communicate with its students for closures and cancellations as well as more personalized information such as overdue library resources or financial issues.
