Meet Student Leader Adam McLandress
Nipissing students consistently impress as leaders, in the classroom, on campus and in the community. Recently the university celebrated 25 student leaders at the annual Dave Marshall Leadership Awards. Over the coming months, NU News will introduce each student leader to the wider community with a short article discussing their accomplishments and activities. Today, we are pleased profile Adam McLandress a second-year Bachelor of Arts, honours Psychology student and Dave Marshall Leadership Award winner in the academic category.
McLandress is a committed researcher who has contributed to the success of two major research projects in the Psychology lab. He has presented work at the Undergraduate Research Conference twice and has worked to guide, motivate, and train other lab members in his role as a Research Assistant for the Psychology department.
McLandress is also extensively involved in Nipissing University and North Bay organizations as a: Student Recruitment Tour Guide, Peer Tutor, Psychology Society member, White Ribbon Campaign co-President, and board member of the Fundraising & Community Outreach for Amelia Rising.
McLandress demonstrates a belief in a high-level of achievement while creating a positive, supportive, and healthy community.
The Dave Marshall Leadership Award recognizes full-time students who have made an outstanding extra-curricular contribution to their academic program, to the campus, or to the greater community. Academic recipients are selected in recognition of their significant contributions as leaders in their area of study.
