Get ready for Homecoming

The time to rediscover your inner Laker maniac is nigh! Nipissing celebrates its annual Homecoming weekend September 30 - October 2. It’s a weekend like no other, with students, staff, faculty, friends and alumni having fun together and showing their school spirit. This year’s events kick off on Friday, September 30, with our varsity men's and women's basketball teams hitting the court at the RJ Surtees Athletic Centre followed by Lakers Pub Night at The Moose Cookhouse in downtown North Bay.

The events turn a little more maniacal on Saturday as the Laker Maniacs will be leading the charge encouraging everyone to show their spirit for the blue and green. Saturday afternoon gets rolling with Pints N' Poutine at the Lakers Varsity Soccer games. Eat poutine and enjoy a pint while you cheer on the Lakers against the Laurentian Voyageurs.

From there, hop on the bus and head down to Memorial Gardens for some hockey action and the always awesome pre-game tailgate party from 4– 6:30 p.m. We’ll have everything you need: food, a beer tent and live entertainment courtesy of Toronto based synth-pop group Featurette. Finish off your perfect blue and green day by cheering on the Lakers men’s hockey team against the Laurentian Voyageurs.
