Class of 2016 Celebrated at BFA Graduate Exhibition
Back in April, NU News had the opportunity to experience some of the incredible student art on display during the 2016 Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Graduate Exhibition at the WKP Kennedy Gallery in North Bay. The BFA Graduate Exhibition showcased work from the graduating class of Nipissing University’s Bachelor Fine Arts (Honours) program. Featured artists include: Andrea Allen, Chelsea Bourget, Imogen Wilson, Jocelyn Brown, Katarina Stewart, Sarah Marinelli, Alexandra Ball, Hailey Carr, Katherine Roberts, Katie Kozub, Marina Dekker, and Marcus Fessler. They exhibited a selection of their artwork developed over the previous year as part of their fourth-year thesis work. The exhibition consisted of a diverse range of artwork including drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, video/performance, as well as various hybrid forms of contemporary art. NU News shot the accompanying video at the Opening Reception. The short video features Alex Landon Richardson, Instructor and Course Director for Directed Studio Research and Professional Practice in the department of Fine and Performing Arts; and fourth-year student Imogen Wilson.
