Student creativity in the spotlight at BFA graduate exhibition

Some incredible student art is on display now during the 2015 Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Graduate Exhibition at the WKP Kennedy Gallery in North Bay.Running until April 18, the BFA Graduate Exhibition showcases work from the graduating class of Nipissing University’s Bachelor Fine Arts (Honours) program.
Featured artists include: Katelyn Campbell, Emily Dalmer, Bonnie Gray, Catherine Hodgson, Gesthemani Kaltzidis, Kaylee Motley, Jessica Semple, and James Thorne. They are exhibiting a selection of their artwork developed over the past year as part of their fourth-year thesis work.
The exhibition consists of a diverse range of artwork including drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, video/performance, as well as various hybrid forms of contemporary art.
NU News shot the accompanying video at the Opening Reception, held on Friday, April 10. The short video features Andrew Ackerman, assistant professor and Chair of the department of Fine and Performing Arts; and fourth-year students Jessica Semple and Kaylee Motley.
