Do you know a student who could use some extra money? The Nipissing University Faculty Association (NUFA) might be able to help thanks to two opportunities: Learning Opportunity Awards and the Textbook Bursary Application.

Nipissing professor Ken Stange is set to release his new book, Going Home: Cycling though the heart of America, at Gulliver’s Bookstore in downtown North Bay on February 7.

Ben Barak, BFA’12, who is exhibiting his work at the famed McMichael Canadian Art Collection, in Kleinburg, Ontario.Barak is featured in the Art Mentorship Project Community Exhibition, running until March 2, 2014. He is exhibiting with David McEown.

Congratulations to Nipissing Residence Dons Sara Karn and Meghan Fielding, who earned the award for third best session at the recent Residence Life conference.

With the Nipissing Lakers Nordic Ski team back on Canadian soil after competing in the University Winter Games in Italy, the long trip home and some time off gave them a chance to look back and reflect on the games. Head coach Toivo Koivukoski and skiers Jordan Cascagnette, Thomsen D’Hont and Kajsa Heyes all took part in the event, which brought together some of the best athletes in the world.
