BIC takes a leading role in Ontario Bioeconomy Week

The Biomass Innovation Centre (BIC) at Nipissing University is kicking off Ontario Bioeconomy Week on Monday, September 8, with a community seminar focused on developments and opportunities in Northern Ontario's bioeconomy.Bioecoomy Week runs from September 8 – 12, 2014 in Thunder Bay. The BIC is one of the strategic partners, along with CanBio, Confederation College, OPG and Lakehead University.
As part of this week-long event, the BIC will be also be hosting a professional development event for engineers and technologists to test-drive their new bioenergy curriculum, which is being adopted by colleges across Ontario and by Lakehead and Laurentian Universities.
The BIC is also receiving and giving awards at the CanBio AGM Awards Dinner, and moderating a panel on sharing applied research in supply chain and market development for the bioeconomy.
