Men’s soccer adds Chris Anderson

Nipissing Lakers men’s soccer coach Carlo DeVuono is pleased to announce the commitment of Chris Anderson to attend Nipissing University in the Fall of 2013.Anderson, a six-foot striker from Carleton Place, Ontario, is enrolled in Nipissing’s Bachelor of Physical Health and Education program. His personal soccer accomplishments include being named the 2010 CPHS Sr. Boys MVP and the Fanshawe Falcons 2011/2012 Rookie of the Year.
His team accomplishments include Carleton Place High School AA OFSAA Participant 2009, Ottawa Fury 2009 SYL North American Championship Contestant and a 2013 Indoor Soccer OCAA Bronze medal with the Fanshawe Falcons.
“Nipissing has proven that it’s a competitive school in the OUA and I can't wait to add everything I have to the organization,” said Anderson. “I've played previously with some of the guys on Nipissing, and I believe our previous chemistry will go a long way this season.”
“Chris's experience will go a long way in helping our team develop and get to the next level,” said DeVuono. “He is just the type of player we are looking for at Nipissing.”
The Lakers will hit the pitch in Mid-August, as OUA training camps begin in preparation for the soccer season debut, which will feature the Lakers on the road travelling to face the Trent Excalibur September 1.
