Memorial service and fund for Ben Kuyt

Nipissing University is holding a memorial service to honour the life of Benjamin John Kuyt on Saturday, May 25, at 11 a.m. Ben was a History student who had just completed his second year of study at Nipissing’s North Bay campus.

He died on May 7 at his apartment in North Bay. The memorial service will take place in the Nipissing University Theatre (F213). Light refreshments and a hike to Duchesnay Falls will follow. A memorial fund is being created in Ben’s name. In honour of Ben’s passion for Nipissing University and North Bay, the fund will provide opportunities for international students to experience Canada in the way Ben loved – through shared activities such as canoeing in Algonquin Park, visits to the maple sugar bush and fishing.
