Nipissing University is very pleased to announce and congratulate the recipients of the 2012 Teaching and Research Awards.Dr. Stephen ConnorDr. Stephen Connor is the recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Connor is an assistant professor in the department of history. He will receive the award during the June 15, 9:30 a.m., convocation ceremony.
The Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching was established in 1996 to recognize the importance of effective teaching of faculty who play a significant role in the education of Nipissing University students. Professor Natalie Dunn will receive the Nipissing University Award for Excellence in Part-time Teaching.  Dunn is a seminar instructor in the English department. She will receive the award during the June 14, 9:30 a.m., convocation ceremony.
The ??Nipissing University Award for Excellence in Part-time Teaching ??was initiated in 2003/04 to recognize the importance of effective teaching of faculty who play a significant role in the education of Nipissing University students. Dr. Callie Mady is the recipient of the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Research. Mady is an associate professor in the Schulich School of Education. She will receive the award during the June 13?, 9:30 a.m., convocation ceremony.
The Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Research was initiated in 2000 to recognize and celebrate the value of research conducted by Nipissing University full-time faculty and those faculty members whose research makes a significant impact on the discipline or field of research. All full-time faculty members are eligible. The award cannot be received more than once in a five-year period. Click here for a list of previous recipients.
