Student2Student is here for student success

Nipissing University’s Student2Student program presents a series of Student Success Workshops for the 2012-13 school year, providing all students the opportunity to improve their skills. The program is aimed at all Nipissing students to help ease the transition to university, providing practical tips and techniques for success. Each workshop is developed and facilitated by upper-year students, providing an informal setting for students to learn new skills, develop a wider network and get involved on campus through exposure to the variety of programs available to them.
“The series features a wide variety of topics, from writing university-level essays to managing stress,” says Leah Misener, marketing director for Student2Student. “The workshops all feature information that can benefit every student.”
The next workshop in the series takes place Friday, September 21, at 2 p.m. in room H303.  It covers how to digest lectures, take in important information from class, and how to organize it for effective after-class study.
Look for a Student2Student representative in first-year classes this fall.
