Seeking Honorary Degree nominations

Nipissing’s Honorary Degrees Subcommittee is meeting on August 23 to consider nominations for honorary degree candidates for Nipissing’s 2013 convocation and subsequent convocations. As in previous years, the subcommittee is encouraging you to submit nominations so that they can have a roster of nominees for consideration.Criteria considered in the selection process include one or more of the following:national staturerelevance/contribution to Nipissing Universityacademic backgroundcontributions to society (regionally, provincially, nationally, internationally)sustained contribution to scholarship
** If an individual excels in any ONE of the five criteria listed, this will be considered sufficient to nominate the person for an honorary degree. Nominators must provide a C.V. for the nominee, or direct us to a website where such can be found. We also request that nominators do not contact, or seek a C.V. from the nominee as that can prove awkward should the individual not be selected.
