Nipissing CIC lecture on Policing in Afghanistan

The Nipissing Branch of the Canadian International Council is pleased to welcome Sergeant Mike Hunter of the North Bay Police Service, to campus to discuss his experience serving with the International Police Mission in Afghanistan. The discussion takes place on Wednesday, Sept 26, from 7 – 8:30 p.m. in the Weaver Auditorium (B200).Sergeant Hunter is the first member of the North Bay Police Service to have participated in an International Police Mission. In Afghanistan in 2011 his role was to assist with the European Police Mission Afghanistan [Eupol] and its mission of Police Reform and the Rule of Law. He coordinated training, mentoring, projects, and administration within the City Policy and Justice Program. The work involved frequent contact with Afghan National Police Commanders, Regional and District Chiefs of Police and many others.
The discussion, titled Policing Afghanistan, is the Nipissing Canadian International Council’s first event of the 2012-13 season. It is free of charge and open to the public.
