Awesome award for Love the Label
Love the Label, a student led group at Nipissing University, has received a $1,000 Awesome Fellow grant for their work promoting a greater awareness of the ingredients found in make-up and other personal care products.
The grassroots group formed in 2010 with funding out of their own pockets. They’ve been working hard ever since staffing booths and making presentations to educate their classmates and community about the harmful toxins found in cosmetics and personal care products.

The Awesome Foundation for the Arts and Sciences is an ever-growing, worldwide network of people devoted to forwarding the interest of awesomeness in the universe.
Created in the long hot summer days of 2009 in Boston, the Foundation distributes a series of monthly $1,000 grants to projects and their creators. The money is given upfront in cash, cheque, or gold doubloons by groups of ten or so self-organizing “micro-trustees,” who form autonomous chapters around geographic areas or topics of interest.
