Smallest Steps Film Screening and Community Networking
This event is open to students, staff, faculty, community partners, survivors and supporters.
We know the statistics. We’ve heard the stories. And now we’re asking, what can WE do to end violence against women?
The Smallest Steps documentary provides some answers through the interconnected stories of four women, each beginning their own journey to end violence against women in Canada. Our goal is to increase the number of people like YOU who are actively participating in ending violence against women in Canada.
"That’s why we’ve focused our energies on trying to equip you with important anti-violence knowledge, elevate the voices of established anti-violence organizations and individuals, and activate your passion for advocating for a world free from violence" - Nicole Bedford, filmmaker.
The film screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring students, faculty and local experts to deepen and expand the conversations started or not yet addressed in the film.
This event is co-hosted by the School of Social Work in support of Social Work Week.
