Sexual Violence Response Training
This interactive workshop offers participants practical training on how to effectively respond to disclosures of sexual violence. Participants will explore the connection between systemic oppression and sexual violence, which often creates barriers for survivors. The session focuses on building supportive language, intervention techniques, and knowledge of available resources for acting as a prosocial bystander or when receiving a disclosure.

This workshop provides participants with interactive and practice-based training on how to respond to a disclosure of sexual violence. This workshop touches on the link between systemic oppression and sexual violence that can impact and create barriers for those impacted by sexual violence.
Participants will gain supportive language, resources, and intervention techniques when acting as a prosocial bystander or receiving a disclosure. By the end, participants are equipped with the knowledge, resources, and skills to support survivors when disclosing sexual violence.
This workshop counts toward the Advanced Sexual Violence Response Certificate and is RSD Approved.
