Next Steps
Official Transcript Requests - December 9, 2024
The first step on your to do list is to request official transcripts from universities you attended. Transcripts must show all courses required for admission consideration as either completed or in progress (including teaching subject courses, if applicable). It is your responsibility to ensure that all courses (completed and in progress) appear on your transcript that is sent by your institution.
Include all transcripts from institutions attended on a Letter of Permission even if courses are incomplete and grades do not appear on the transcript.
- If you attended Ontario universities, use the TEAS online transcript request and submit it with your TEAS application (When asked when your transcript should be sent, select “Immediate”).
- If you attended a non-Ontario university, contact the institution(s) to request your transcript(s) and have them sent directly to the Office of the Registrar – Admissions, Nipissing University.
- If you attended a postsecondary institution outside North America, you must have your foreign transcripts assessed by World Education Services (WES). We require a WES Credential Evaluation Report, including a course-by-course analysis. WES evaluations must be sent directly to the Admissions Office, and must be received by the transcript deadline. Note: If you attend an international institution on exchange from your Ontario-based home university, you do not need a WES evaluation.
Exceptions
- If you are applying to the Primary/Junior division and have completed an Early Childhood Education or Child and Youth Care/Worker Diploma from a recognized college, you must order a transcript directly from the college you attended and have it sent directly to the Office of the Registrar – Admissions, Nipissing University. If you are being considered under this admission criteria, you are still required to complete an undergraduate degree by June 2025.
- Current Nipissing students and Nipissing graduates do not need to order or send Nipissing transcripts.
- If you attended Nipissing University prior to 1992, you are considered a Laurentian University student and must request that transcript.
- If your name is different than what appears on your official transcript(s), submit legal proof of name change (if applicable) to Nipissing University by December 9, 2024.
- Applicants with English-language proficiency results must submit them to Nipissing University by December 9, 2024.
- If you applied through or had your application transferred to Nipissing’s International Application portal please follow the instructions you have been provided regarding submission of your transcripts.
