POSITION TITLE: Student Recruitment Summer Assistant

HOURS OF WORK: 35 hours per week
RATE OF PAY: $17.20/hour plus Vacation Pay as determined by HR Policy

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Student Recruitment Summer Assistant is responsible for facilitating campus tours throughout the summer months, under the guidance and supervision of the Recruitment Tours and Events Coordinator. They are also responsible for assisting the Recruitment Tours and Events Coordinator with management of the Student Ambassador Volunteer program. The Student Recruitment Summer Assistant will also assist the Student Recruitment Coordinator with day-to-day office administration duties, such as but not limited to: returning phone calls, responding to emails and assisting with bulk mailouts. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, work well as a member of a team, be highly organized and motivated, as well as have a passion for Nipissing University that they wish to share with future Lakers.
Duties Include:
This position will assist with the following duties:
- Giving campus tours
- Coordinating student volunteers
- General office work (returning phone calls, emailing, mailing etc.)
- Market research
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must apply and be approved for the NUWORK Program
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to be an independent worker and an active team member
- Ability to work on campus
