POSITION TITLE: Data Entry Assistant
CLOSING DATE: January 31, 2025
EMPLOYMENT DATES: February – April 2025
HOURS OF WORK: 10-15 hours per week
RATE OF PAY: $17.20 per hour + VacationPay
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Led by Nipissing University, Rare Dementia Support (RDS) Canada’s vision is for all individuals at risk or with or caring for/ supporting someone living with a rare dementia, to have access to information, tailored support and guidance, and contact with others affected by similar conditions. This position is directly associated with a 3-year project funded by CIHR, entitled Peoples, Spaces, Places, that will inform RDS Canada’s growth and expansion.
The student will work closely with Drs Veronika Williams and Mary Pat Sullivan. The candidate will be required to work on campus and complete the TCPS 2: CORE-2022 training.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Review existing RDS Canada data base files for completeness
- Accurately transfer existing paper-based RDS Canada member files to Telus Health data platform
- Accurately move existing RDS Canada member database files to Telus Health data platform
- Support data quality and improvement through execution of routine data checks against source documents, and initiate data queries with supervisor as required
- Other duties as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate or graduate student at Nipissing University
- Superior IT skills and some experience of data entry with a high degree of accuracy
- Familiarity with Healthcare Data Platforms
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
