Duties:

  • Responsible for all instruction and evaluation for the portion of the course to which they are assigned
  • Will be available to meet with students outside of the official classroom time
  • Complete mandatory training requirements, review and follow Nipissing University's policies and procedures

Qualifications: 

  • A PhD in Education or closely related field is preferred
  • A Master's in Education or closely related field is required 
  • A Bachelor of Education degree
  • Certification as a registered teacher with the appropriate licensing authority (e.g. Ontario College of Teachers)
  • Minimum of FSL Part 1 and Special Education Part 1
  • Relevant teaching experience as evidenced by a teaching philosophy, strong teaching evaluations and/or other relevant achievements related to teaching.
