Recent death of a student - Counselling services available

To all members of the Nipissing University community:It is with great sadness that I am writing to advise you of the death of one of our students, Patrice Wren.  Patrice was a third-year student in the Business program at our North Bay Campus.

On behalf of the University, I offer my sincere sympathies to Patrice’s family and friends. Our thoughts are with each of you who knew, worked with, taught and were friends with Patrice.

At this difficult time, I would like to remind you that counselling services are available:

Group Debriefings and mental health supports are available for anyone who would like to attend: Friday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to noon, and Saturday, April 21, from noon to 2 p.m. in RSAC 203.

For 24/7 support in the North Bay area, please contact the North Bay Regional Health Centre’s crisis intervention program at 1.800.352.1141.
