Book fair success helping two local charities

Book fair drop of from Schulich students

The recent book fair organized by students in the Schulich School of Education was a resounding success.
The students sold over $3,000 worth of books, more than doubling their stated goal, and resulting in a donation of more than $2,000 worth of books, which is split between the Crisis Centre and the North Bay Regional Health Centre.

“It was really rewarding to see the class put this together.  The students are thrilled to be able to give back to the North Bay community, the place they are calling home while they complete their education degree,” said Dr. Kristen Ferguson, associate professor in the Schulich School of Education, who helped students organize the fair. It was especially nice to see so many Nipissing staff and faculty members buying books in support.  Thanks to all the support, this was the biggest and best book fair yet. Special thanks to Kevin Vibe and Shawn Bester in shipping and receiving for handling the hundreds of books that were shipped.”
