Nipissing University's nursing students have proven they are among the best in the province, taking home the top prize at the highly anticipated 2025 Ontario Nursing Games. Hosted by the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto, the event marked the return of the competition after a five-year hiatus and brought together nursing students from across Ontario for a day of academic, simulation, and athletic challenges.

The Nipissing Lakers hosted their 32nd annual Awards Gala on Thursday at the Robert J. Surtees Athletic Centre, celebrating a remarkable 2024-25 season. The event recognized the achievements of all 15 teams and 250 student-athletes. In addition to team awards, the Lakers earned 14 OUA all-star selections, one CUFLA All-Canadian, three major award winners, and three USports All-Canadians.
