TRUNORTH NATURALS JOB POSTING

TruNorth Naturals (TN) is a mushroom/plant-medicine foraging and processing company based in Goulais River, ON. Our customers come to us for the high-quality, safe, wild-harvested variety we maintain. TruNorth is committed to forest conservation and regeneration, emphasizing sustainable practices. Our deep respect and passion for the wilderness drive our efforts. We’re actively seeking team members who share our reverence for the forests and all the life they support.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION (Independent Harvesters and TN Harvesters)

This is a job for someone interested in learning and gaining new skills.

Our TruNorth Harvesters are our most important assets. Each new Harvester goes through the TruNorth training with an experienced supervisor, manager or owner, setting you up for success. This training supports the rigorous learning required to navigate remote forest locations effectively. Through hands-on experience, participants learn to use GPS devices, compasses, and maps. Additionally, they gain valuable insights into sustainable practices, ensuring responsible harvesting and the continued growth of species. Each Harvester will identify, locate, and sustainably harvest medicinal mushrooms and pack out heavy loads from remote locations to drop points for pick up.

Each Harvester will have the opportunity to learn our safe handling and processing methods. These will be done using sterilized equipment, such as hand tools, grinders, and mills. Everyone on the team will be responsible for the daily clean-up and organization of the processing facility.

The Harvester will also contribute to our TruNorth harvest app. They track each harvested mushroom by entering essential data using GPS units, computer programs, and spreadsheets. This meticulous record-keeping ensures transparency and responsible forest management.

There are opportunities as Independent Harvesters along with Direct TN Harvesters. The independent harvesters can work in any location around Ontario and we will do virtual training. If you are interested in working directly for TN then you will have to live in or near Goulais River.
