Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day at Nipissing

Thursday, June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day; Nipissing University’s Office of Indigenous Initiatives is hosting a celebration at the campus courtyard teepee and everyone is invited.

The celebration kicks off at 10:30 a.m. with opening ceremonies and a traditional teaching with Elder Carol Guppy of Nipissing First Nation and Temagami First Nation.  There will also be a keychain making workshop. 

Refreshments, including tea and bannock will be served.
