Nipissing University, Cambrian College professor wins national award
GeneralSchool of NursingOnly ten people a year receive this award in Canada, and Laura Killam of Cambrian College in Sudbury and Nipissing University of North Bay is one of them. Killam, a faculty member in both Cambrian’s and Nipissing’s Schools of Nursing, has been chosen as one of the 2023 recipients of a 3M National Teaching Fellowship. -
Nursing prof recognized with Pat Griffin Research Grant
GeneralSchool of NursingResearchThe Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN) has announced that Dr. Sandra Goldsworthy, professor in Nipissing University’s School of Nursing, is one of the recipients of the Pat Griffin Research Grants and $15,000 in funding. The Pat Griffin Research Grant supports research with a priority of “Nursing Education Outcomes” from the National Research Priorities for Nursing. -
Student Profile – Clémence Martineau
GeneralMeet Clémence (Clem) Martineau, an exchange student from France currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration. During her time at Nipissing, Clem was actively involved within the Nipissing community, volunteering her free time to the assist at the Athletics Centre and with events at NUSU.
Scott Russell named new Chancellor of Nipissing University
Nipissing University has appointed Dr. Scott Russell as its fifth Chancellor. The award-winning broadcaster and acclaimed author, best known for his hosting roles with CBC Sports and extensive Olympic Games coverage, will begin his four-year term on July 1, 2024.
