Lorrie currently holds the Secretary/Receptionist position in the Applied & Professional Studies (APS) office, and is the first point of contact for the Dean’s Office and assistant to the Office Administrator with the day-to-day operations of the office. As the Receptionist, she is responsible for welcoming students, faculty members, staff and external visitors to the Office and directing them as necessary. Lorrie’s duties include scheduling appointments for the Dean, file management, office duties, website maintenance, etc. In addition, she provides clerical support to the Manager, Partnership Development; provides program support, such as the preparation and distribution of all Student Opinion Surveys; and assists the Administrator with the tracking of part-time faculty contracts, special exam requests, course outlines, final grade breakdowns, etc.

Lorrie enjoys spending time with her family, and is an avid decorative painter, scrapbooker, and furniture refinisher. She enjoys volunteering, and the “volunteer” projects that Lorrie is most proud of are the two Carousels that are housed at North Bay’s waterfront.
