Welcome to the Townhouse Residence Complex

Our Townhouse Residence Complex is nestled within mature trees and green space on the edge of our campus next to the main academic building, and is our designated upper year student residence. It offers the students who live here a peaceful environment where they can live among their peers and focus on their academic commitments.

Each 2 level Townhouse Complex is fully furnished and is designed to house up to 6 students who share a kitchen, dining and living room. Each student has their own private bedroom to unwind in.

Living Learning Community

A Living Learning Community is the integration of students who share similar interests into a residence community with programming and support from within the university and community.  At this time, we are currently redeveloping our Living Learning Community offerings to better serve our residents.  Once we finalize this process we will notify our residents of the exciting new opportunities!

Public Transportation

The Townhouse Residence Complex is located within walking distance to the main campus, library and athletics centre. However, if students wish to venture off campus the city buses stop regularity at the main campus doors. As a full time student you will receive a city transit pass, which is valid from September to April.

Laundry Facilities

The Townhouse Complex has one large Laundry Room which is located in the Main Building adjacent to the Front Desk. The washers and dryers are card-operated which students will purchase thru the reload machine at a cost of $5.00/card. Front Desk

The Townhouse Complex Front Desk is located in the main building. The desk hours are posted at the Front Desk.

At the Townhouse Complex Front Desk you can get sign out residence equipment (e.g. vacuums, mops/buckets), print/copy/fax/scan documents or get answers to questions that you may have. In order to sign out equipment you must leave your Nipissing University student card at the residence front desk. The student card will be returned to you once you have returned the equipment.

Parking

The Townhouse Complex does not have its own parking lot, therefore students generally purchase parking passes for the closest University Lot which is Lot 1 or 1A. Parking passes must be purchased through the Security & Parking Services website. It is best to pre-order your parking pass prior to move-in day. Once you have purchased your pass, it can be picked up in the Security & Parking Office on the Main Campus. Plug in parking is available during the winter months. Arrangements for plug-in parking can be made in late fall through the Townhouse Complex House Front Desk for an additional fee of $100.00. Students will be notified through an email when plug-in parking becomes available.
