RATE OF PAY:$14.56 to $17.99 /hour as determined by HR policy

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assist Dr. Natalya Brown Brown and Dr. Colin Mang from the School of Business with data collection at major tourist sites in downtown Toronto for their Smartphones and Group Behaviour in Tourism project.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Assist in the recruitment of study participants
  • Conduct intercept surveys
  • Assist with identifying key landmarks and other locations for intercept surveys
  • Assist in the secure storage and transportation of data

     

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The ideal candidate should preferably be entering their third or fourth year of study at Nipissing University. Preference will be given to students who live in or are familiar with the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort speaking with strangers
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and an ability to work independently
  • An understanding of the research ethics involved in working with human participants
