The Algonquin Nursing Home has been approved through the Canada Summer Jobs program for the following paid positions:
- 1 Nursing Services Aide
- 1 Housekeeping Aide
- 1 Activity Aide
- 1 Dietary Aide
To qualify for these positions, the applicant must be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of the employment, be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, and is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and adhere to tight deadlines
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Positive attitude
- Excellent attendance and working habits
- Genuine interest in geriatrics
- Bilingualism is a definite asset
- Must be filly vaccinated against COVID-19 (2 doses plus 1 booster)
- Vulnerable Sector Check is required
